We work closely with estates in Scotland and Northern England to provide only sustainable and fully traceable wild meat.
At our Yorkshire headquarters we are driven by a team of individuals who are passionate about providing quality and sustainable wild meat. We are also enabling growing numbers of consumers to benefit from the increasingly recognised health benefits of game and venison. Our customers include Michelin starred restaurants and major supermarket chains, as well as retail suppliers.
Our products are supplied all year round and have come from animals and birds that have lived a truly wild life. Our range of wild game includes a full range of venison, grouse, partridge, pheasant, wood pigeon, rabbit, hare and mallard. All our products are 100% traceable and entirely wild.
We have the industry standard BRC Food Certification and are approved by the Scottish Quality Wild Venison scheme, which supports sustainability and hygienic practices. We also work with the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the estates and environments linked to our supply chain.
Our stringent approach to quality assurance is also a key factor in our success.
Yorkshire Game was founded in 1983, buying product from local estates and supplying it to local restaurants, butchers and wholesalers. Demand for their quality wild game products grew and the business gradually expanded, driven by a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
In 2005 the business moved to our existing 22,000 sq ft processing site near Richmond in North Yorkshire. In 2017 the business was accquired by its current owners who have exciting plans to grow the business and meet the demands of the modern day consumer who is looking for healthier protein alternatives.
